Dear Colleagues,
I’m writing to draw your attention to what I think is a fairly unique tenure-track position with the Honors College at Texas Tech University, where I serve as Associate Dean.
The expertise area is Design-Focused Human-Computer Interaction. We’re essentially looking for someone to occupy the productive interdisciplinary space between art/design and technology.
The Honors College at TTU is nationally ranked and serves approximately 2400 students majoring in virtually every discipline at the university. You’d have the opportunity to teach interdisciplinary, discussion-based seminars in your area
of expertise, contribute to our first-year experience program, and mentor high-performing undergraduate researchers and creatives while pursuing your own scholarship. We function very much as a selective liberal arts community embedded within a big R1 university.
You’d be teaching a 2/2 load with lots of opportunity to contribute to curriculum, study abroad, research away, and other student-facing initiatives.
Please feel free to reach out to me with questions or query the search committee chair, Dr. Allie Smith (allie.c.smith@ttu.edu). Application review-by date is December 1, 2026.
Best,
Rob
