UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor in
Communication Studies for a tenure-track position beginning in August
2002.  Requirements include a Ph.D. or advanced ABD in Communication or
a related field, an active research program in communication and
technology, and teaching experience.  The successful candidate will
teach graduate and undergraduate courses in communication and
technology as well as his/her area of expertise, conduct research in
communication and technology, and meet standard service and advising
requirements.  Candidates with a Ph.D., professional visibility,
potential for procuring external funding, a strong record of
scholarship and teaching, and teaching experience in communication and
new technology are preferred, as are candidates whose interests are
complementary to those of current faculty.  First consideration will be
given to applications received by November 9, 2001. Salary range is
competitive.
