Hi all,

I apologize in advance if you feel this is cluttering your mailbox, but given the subject matter of this list, I thought you would be the best to see this job announcement.

The Department of Telecommunications at Penn State has a job opening at the assistant professor level.  I think we have an excellent faculty and we offer both a Master's and a Ph.D. degree in addition to our undergraduate program.  The College of Communications is very eclectic and we embrace all methodologies and perspectives.  We also get wonderful institutional support. In short, I think this is a great place to work and grow as a scholar.  Many of us in the department (and university) are conducting Internet related research, and there are many opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.

I would be very grateful if you would forward the following job announcement to any graduate students in your program who are finishing their degrees (or any recent graduates who have jobs elsewhere) who you think would be a good fit and who have strong scholarly potential.  We are particularly interested in receiving applications from female and minority candidates, since our department is very strongly committed to diversity.  Needless to say, if YOU are interested in this job, we hope you will apply as well.

Thanks.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Very sincerely yours,
Matt Jackson
