Senior Lectureship/Readership in Sociology - Department of Sociology Vacancy reference: BA05297

The successful candidate will have a strong record of research and scholarly publication in the sociology of information and communication technologies and will be able to link this work to other substantive research interests in the Department such as crime, culture, health and social theory. They will be expected to play a leading research role in the development of a new Social Informatics Research Unit within the Department and to play a full part in teaching and supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Salary will be within the range: £37,558 - £42,573 per annum. The post is to commence in January 2006.
