You will join an interdisciplinary research team, featuring Paula Helm (Empirical Ethics/STS), Saurabh Khanna (Machine Learning/Data Science), Olga Eisele (Communication Science), and Katrin Schulz (Philosophy of Language/Computational Linguistics), and work within Amsterdam’s exciting academic ecosystem. This 2-year postdoc will explore the sociotechnical and ethical-political implications of the invisibility of most of the world’s 5,000–6,000 languages on the internet. The project combines computational, qualitative, and participatory methods, and requires some experience in, or at least a proven affinity to, all three areas.
