Re: [Air-l] preparing digital identity syllabus
You also might want to look at the online identity bibliography I maintain at my blog: http://www.tiara.org/blog/?page_id=78 I keep promising to update it, but I'll definitely add the suggestions made so far on the list. I obviously also work on identity, and I'd be interested in an identity-focused list. One of my subjects of study is the Identity 2.0/identity management community (Kim Cameron etc.), including the Identity Gang list which discusses digital identity. Their concept of "identity" tends to be very narrow and focused on the development of very particular enterprise-focused applications, but if you're interested in that work I can send you over a bibliography in that area as well. Along with Alice's suggestions (and her own work), you can get a further glimpse of some of the emerging scholarship on digital identities by looking at the program for the "Identity and Identification in a Networked World" graduate student symposium we recently held at NYU. http://www.law.nyu.edu/ili/colloquia/identitysymposium/ Selected papers have also just been published in a special issue of First Monday: http://www.firstmonday.org/issues/issue11_12/ Good luck! -michael. ----- Michael T.
