Position Information Job Title Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Professor, English & Media Studies Department English and Media Studies Job Description The Department of English and Media Studies at Bentley University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Communication at either the Assistant or Associate level. The ideal candidate will be able to teach public speaking, intercultural communication, rhetorical theory, and will take a leadership role in developing new communication courses. We are particularly interested in scholars with research and teaching interests in African American, Latinx, and Asian American communication studies. Bentley is committed to a balanced profile of scholarship and teaching. We seek a candidate with a clear program of research demonstrated by a record of publication; early career scholars must demonstrate the potential for future publication. Candidates should have experience as the instructor of record and demonstrated ability to teach courses in the areas listed above. The teaching load is three courses per semester, with one course release each semester for scholarly productivity. Salary and benefits are competitive. Bentley’s campus is located in a Boston suburb.
