Invitation to contribute discussion to an article entitled 'Internet History Differentiated: A Proposal
Dear Colleagues , You are invitated to contribute some discussion to my latest draft article entitled, "Internet History Differentiated: A Proposal" here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/dhgrk647cz13kot5u5wag/Internet-History-Differ... I am proposing that social scientists begin to differentiate history into non-Internet years (up to 1960), military/pre-Internet or Cold War years (1960-1995) and post-Internet years (1995- onward). I write about what hinders this (or why we don’t differentiate Internet history) and why it would be a benefit to do so. I illustrate the article with one of my infographics that I designed and Hannah Day crafted. The article is about 8,200 words. I would be honoured if you could write a few sentences for the Discussion section and send them to me by June 30th 2025. The infographic in the article is also part of a show entitled, 'Making Internet History More Visible' which I am presenting at the New Zealand Science Festival in July.: https://scifest.org.nz/programme/making-internet-history-more-visible Please feel free to send questions and discussion to npac825@aucklanduni.ac.nz Kind Regards Noel Packard PhD, BA Honors, MA, MPA, BA (pronounced Noelle she/her) ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6589-3362
