Scholarship on the history of Internet Censorship
Hello, Anyone have pieces outlining a history of internet censorship? While I am interested in the history of censorship everywhere, USA/Europe is fine. Ideally research that is feminist-framed. Thank you Magdalena Olszanowski FQRSC/SSHRC Fellow PhD Candidate, Communication Studies, Concordia University Researcher/ Image Production/Photo Coordinator ACT (Ageing, Communication, Technology) Montreal
It's a little bit dated, but I've found Wendy Chun's *Control and Freedom *to be one of the most useful feminist studies of Internet censorship: http://a.co/bNzAyEa Good luck and I hope others chime in because I'm also interested in their suggestions.
