Re: [Air-L] CFP Popular Culture Australia-New Zealand
The deadline for the submission of abstracts for the PopCAANZ 2011 Conference has been extended - while the official CFP is closed, researchers can email their abstracts for consideration to the Area Chairs (see below). This conference is very exciting for new researchers interested in all areas of popular culture with a special focus on our regional areas Australia-Asia-New Zealand (see below). http://popcaanz.com/archives/40 The Conference will take place in Auckland 29 June - 1 July 2011. If you have an interesting topic in any of the areas (see below), post-doctoral students and researchers can still email their abstracts for inclusion to the following chairs: Anime and Manga: Craig Norris: anime@popcaanz.com Biography and Life Writing: Giselle Bastin: biography@popcaanz.com Business and Popular Culture: Sarah Kelly: business@popcaanz.com Design: Derham Groves and Prudence Black: design@popcaanz.com Disabilities and Popular Culture: Donna McDonald:disabilities@popcaanz.com Fashion: Vicki Karaminas: fashion@popcaanz.com Fiction: Nathanael O’Reilly: fiction@popcaanz.com Film and TV: Rebecca Beirne: filmandtv@popcaanz.com Food Studies: Toni Risson: food@popcaanz.com Gender and Queer: Anita Brady: gender@popcaanz.com Graphic Novels and Comics: Paul Mountfort: comics@popcaanz.com History: Hsu-Ming Teo: history@popcaanz.com Music: Ed Montano: music@popcaanz.com Religion: Sean Durbin: religion@popcaanz.com Science: Bill Lott: science@popcaanz.com Sports: Carol Wical: sports@popcaanz.com Toys and Games: Jason Bainbridge and Juliette Peers: toys@popcaanz.com Visual Arts: Adam Geczy: visualarts@popcaanz.com It's a great conference, and the conference price includes the first year (3 issues) of the Australasian Journal of Popular Culture.
