Lecturer/Assistant Prof in Digital Policy, University College Dublin
***UCD School of Information and Communications Studies (Dublin, Ireland) is looking to hire a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Digital Policy. We are looking for someone to take a lead in building the curriculum for a new postgraduate programme on Digital Policy to be launched in Sep 2020. We are especially interested in active researchers with a track record of relevant publications, a critical perspective, a good grasp of the many challenges involved in digital policy and with the ability to relate these difficulties to students, to academics from other disciplines, and to wider publics. This comes at a critical moment for digital policy and regulation, especially as Ireland has become an 'accidental regulator' of digital platforms as T. J McIntyre <https://people.ucd.ie/tjmcintyre/> puts it. The new comer will play a key role in producing new knowledge on digital policy, in training future policy makers and in feeding into actual policy in this area. Informal inquiries to Prof Colin Scott (colin.scott@ucd.ie) or Eugenia Siapera (eugenia.siapera@ucd.ie).
