What do you focus on in the 24-hour news cycle, interspersed with the constant flow of social media? Is your phone always on? Do you have too many emails to answer, too many requests to follow up, too many demands placed on your time? How do you tune out the noise? Are you paying enough attention? Join KCL researchers for a series of short ‘lightning’ talks about attention, presented from a variety of scholarly disciplines: from literature, philosophy, education and digital humanities through to psychology, neuroscience, politics and business. Be part of the mapping of the new field of Attention Studies, in which academic research meets a wider socio-ethical obligation to figure out what it means to live well – with and through technology.
