Dear all,
You will recall that the Chair of the Internet Governance Forum has called for suggestions for candidates for the Advisory Group of the IGF. Link and details are here: http://www.intgovforum.org/index.htm
We understand that the AG will assist the UN SG and the IGF Chair set up the IGF and the Athens meeting - whether this particular AG would continue beyond Athens remains to be seen. The AG will discuss substance (issue focus) as well as organizational matters (agenda setting, planning) - the first meeting of the AG is to be held (in Geneva) on May 22-23. The composition of the 40 members is expected to be along the following lines: 20 or so from governments; 20 or so shared between private sector, CS, and the academic and technical communities.
We are compiling a list of possible names to be forwarded to the IGF Chair and would very much appreciate your suggestions as to who would be good candidates for this Advisory Group.
Many thanks for your assistance.
Best,
Matthew
