PokemonGo syllabus on Google docs
Hello All, I’ve started a Pokemon Go syllabus on Google docs (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xYuozfkON-RVZQkr7d1qLPJrCRqN8TkzeDySM-3p... <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xYuozfkON-RVZQkr7d1qLPJrCRqN8TkzeDySM-3pzeA/edit?usp=sharing>). Please add links to articles, critique, commentary, etc. as you see fit. I hope this can be a useful resource for us who might be thinking about teaching/discussing the game in our classes, or are just looking for some context around the game when discussing it with students or colleagues. Feel free to share widely. And, be sure to add your name in the “contributors” section if you do add/edit the doc. Thanks, Adrienne --- Adrienne Massanari, PhD Assistant Professor Department of Communication University of Illinois at Chicago @hegemonyrules www.adriennemassanari.com <http://www.adriennemassanari.com/>

WOW! Great ! That's why Internet is so cool (for cats too) I've added a blog entry I wrote yesterday. It is written in french, which is, I think, the coolest thing, and framed in the psychoanalytic theroy, which is cool too. It is not an academic paper but I think it deserve to be add because 1) there is very few articles probing the inner life of the pokemon players and 2) french academics are working on video games and (because they quote Foucault in French) they deserve to be noticed. You can follow them at http://www.omnsh.org (-: Sorry for the grammar. Thanks, Adrienne (and Harvard Professor Karen Brennan who had posted this at the top of her Twitter feed)! World University and School (WUaS) just added this blog post - http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2016/07/rain-cool-pokemongo-puts-your-poke... - (see https://twitter.com/WorldUnivAndSch/status/753988356699099137) to the syllabus under "Social and Cultural dynamics". Thanks for creating this collaborative #PokemonGo Syllabus. WUaS will add this to the Virtual Worlds' wiki subject - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Virtual_Worlds - for open teaching and learning (planned in all countries' main languages+) after we move to Wikidata (from Wikia).
