I am enjoying highlighting academic books on my Kindle and then sharing these quotes on facebook and twitter. Kindle offers this experimental service. Many friends share web pages from traditional media to start debates or express opinions on facebook. Being slightly more academic than many of my friends I can now share book quotes. The potential for academic debate within a social network platform is improved. This is a new academic forum I suppose.
