Re: [Air-l] Technology in Hollywood
RE: [Air-l] Technology in Hollywoodand don't forget "operation swordfish" with John Travolta.. in that movie, he messes around with a "virus", in order to crack a database or something-- anyways, my point is: the "virus" was designed on AutoCAD- as pointed out by wired.com when the movie hit the theatres. that's so typical of hollywood movies- the lack of realistic computer technology (kind of similar to what Frank Schaap said earlier) there is a german movie- "23" - which is far more realistic, mainly featuring minimalistic command line action and distorted modem sounds. and still, there's a lot of suspense, proving that no visualization overkill is needed in order to create a good movie. regards, max doelling
RE: [Air-l] Technology in Hollywoodand dont forget the biggest use of a computer virus is in 'Independence Day' where jeff Goldblum wipes out the aliens! denise
