*University Lecturer in Communication and Media at New Jersey Institute of Technology* The lecturer will teach core and elective courses in our undergraduate Communication and Media program based in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS), focusing primarily on introducing students to current research and practice methods in communication theory, media literacy, and the mediated nature of politics and culture, as well as multiple modes of media production. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in some combination of the following areas: social media, transmedia, gaming, web design, visual communication (graphic design, photography, video production) and be prepared to develop new courses according to their own interests. Candidates will teach core and elective courses in our Communication and Media program. The course load may include advanced courses at third- and fourth-year levels. *Prerequisite Qualifications Include:* - Previous experience teaching college-level courses in communication, mass media, and/or contemporary issues associated with mediated communication. - Terminal degree preferred in communication, digital/interactive media, digital storytelling, or related fields. - At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position. *Application Deadline: 31 March 2022* *More Information:* https://njit.csod.com/ux/ats/careersite/1/home/requisition/3838?c=njit
