Hi, Please forgive me for tooting my own horn, but there are a number of articles in the December 2002 Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic issue on "New Media and the Commercial Sphere" that may be of interest to the AoIR membership, and to you specifically. I think that I have a very 'readable' article in the issue entitled "Online Journalism as Market Journalism." I just presented it for undergrads and graduates at St. Louis University (where I will be an asst. prof of media studies in the fall). The theory is easy to follow and it really deals with quite a few media convergence issues that may be both timely and relevant... don't know if its a good fit or not... but I'm happy to send a copy to anyone who is interested. I have some new additions in mind but would welcome any suggestions. Given the profusion of writing on new media, information technology, Internet studies, and related topics, I suspect there are many gems out there I am not aware of. Any suggestions will of course be acknowledged in the next edition. I thought it would be worthwhile to make this process a little more interactive than usual, and open up the content to potential users of the reader. I'm looking for medium length magazine articles, readable academic essays, book chapters, newsfeatures, and the like. The reader is geared towards an introductory readership.
