The Emerging Scholars Network (ESN) at the International Association for Media and Communication Research is pleased to announce a professional development workshop focused on research methods to be hosted online April 3, 2023 at 12EST/18CET. The event will run for 90 minutes and include presentations from our guest speakers sharing reflections on their own experiences of applying methods to their research projects, as well as time for discussion and questions from the audience. This workshop is the latest in the ESN’s professional development series, which aims to share knowledge with emerging scholars globally and address existing inequities in access to professionalization resources by sharing knowledge from established scholars in accessible formats. *Our speakers are:* Manuel Puppis, University of Fribourg – Switzerland. His research interests include media policy, media regulation and media governance, media systems in a comparative perspective, political communication and organization theory. Marisa von Bülow, University of Brasília – Brazil. Her research is principally interested in transnationalism, new technologies and their impacts on collective action, social movements and state-society relations. Fernanda Rosa, Virginia Tech – United States. Her research interests include code ethnography, transdisciplinarity, science and technology studies, decolonial and feminist studies.
