Hi Lori - I have two suggestions from my meanderings in (offline) oral history: - Robert Perks and Alistair Thomson, eds., The Oral History Reader (Routledge, 1998) - Alessandro Portelli, The Death of Luigi Trastulli and Other Stories: Form and Meaning in Oral History (SUNY Press, 1991) The first is what you might expect from the title - a reader with a mix of how-to, specialized topics, critical analysis and interpretation. Many of the essays in this one are excerpts, and will give you leads if you want to pursue certain topics further. The second is an account of some events in Italy in the mid-twentieth century, and does a brilliant job of discussing the distance between events and memory, between fact and meaning.
