Ethics and Human-human qualitative research: newsletter
Hello friends, There are plenty of problems in our crazy world right now! We need qualitative researchers who can delve into the issues, tell the stories, and help find solutions. This series focuses on research with human participants. Using online or hybrid methods, we can do research with anyone, anywhere. What design considerations are needed? What ethical issues should be addressed? This year my (free) Substack newsletter offers guidance and (open-access) resources for students, new researchers, or experienced researchers who want to shift some or all of their data collection online. Find the unfolding 2025 series online now, and subscribe to receive new ones by email. http://tinyurl.com/qualnews * Being an Ethical Online Researcher * Choose online qualitative research methods * Find research questions: Ask those experiencing the problem * Find open-access scholarly journals in the social sciences * Find questions: What problem merits and online qualitative study? Coming up: April: Reflexive and creative journaling for researchers May: Online interviews June: Online focus groups If you would like to contribute to the blog, have resources to share, or would like to record an interview to share your practical insights with other researchers, contact me off-list.
