Why does an organization that is supposed to "Fount of Knowledge" on all things Internet publish its proceedings in on paper?
strange that sukisyn site is on the same host as the host organization of tcfir.org the focus on education foundation. strange coincidences occur i suppose. in any case, paper publishing is still the defacto standard of all of academia and likely will be for the foreseeable future.. because many academic eyes seem to prefer paper. keep in mind that the organization provides online archives of its papers also. It seems fairly obvious that the recent rash of trolls are all connected to one particular list member, who appears not to have the awareness of general internet operational issues to be conscious of the ease of figuring out who he is. --elijah
All you've found out is that a site shares a server along with 15,000 other websites. You know what they say about assumptions? -----Original Message----- From: air-l-bounces@listserv.aoir.org [mailto:air-l-bounces@listserv.aoir.org] On Behalf Of elw@stderr.org Sent: Saturday, September 09, 2006 3:30 PM To: air-l@listserv.aoir.org Subject: Re: [Air-l] Publishishing

Your statement about publications is at best inaccurate. All of the conference proceedings and papers are only published on paper and no versions seem to be available online. Of the 2 publications that are online only one is available in .pdf format. AND THE MOST CURRENT IS 3 YEARS OLD The listserv doesn't count as a scholarly publication. Again, the question is, Why? -----Original Message----- From: air-l-bounces@listserv.aoir.org [mailto:air-l-bounces@listserv.aoir.org] On Behalf Of Jeremy Hunsinger Sent: Saturday, September 09, 2006 2:52 PM To: air-l@listserv.aoir.org Subject: Re: [Air-l] Publishishing strange that sukisyn site is on the same host as the host organization of tcfir.org the focus on education foundation. strange coincidences occur i suppose. in any case, paper publishing is still the defacto standard of all of academia and likely will be for the foreseeable future.. because many academic eyes seem to prefer paper. keep in mind that the organization provides online archives of its papers also.
