Dear colleagues, The University of Virginia School of Data Science, in partnership with the Digital Technology for Democracy Lab, is pleased to announce the second session of the Gender & Tech Online Talk Series, which will take place on May 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. (EDT). The session will explore intersectional perspectives on data governance, privacy and digital sovereignty. Speakers will examine gender and data governance from a global majority perspective and discuss the policies that could be developed to ensure that women, gender-diverse individuals and other historically marginalized communities can regain control over their digital footprints and identities.
