<fontfamily><param>Geneva</param>Dear Colleagues: Please note and forward the following job announcement from Virginia Tech: The Department of Communication Studies at Virginia Tech invites applications for one or more tenure-track positions (rank open). These positions are intended to strengthen a "communication and technology" cluster within the Department and College of Arts and Sciences. We seek colleagues who can contribute to research and teaching in several areas, including but not limited to communication campaigns, computer-mediated communication, health communication, international or global communication, strategic communication, telemedicine, visual media, and/or the economic, social, cultural effects of interactive media. Applicants should be interested and able to work with interdisciplinary teams within and across college divisions. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in communication or a related field, as well as a demonstrated record or the potential for scholarly publication, external funding, and successful teaching. ABD will be considered if near degree completion. Screening of applications will begin Dec. 14, 2001, pending final budgetary approval; applications will continue to be accepted until positions are filled.
