Methinks the latter is truer than the former, yet can't really say as I'm not an average American. I got the impression that CNN had no idea what web 2.0 was, even while they were talking about it, and that they were scraping the bottom of the barrel for ways to criticise Obama's campaign. What really caught my eye was that before the report started I got a 60-second Australian commercial. Are Canadians trying to influence US politics? Ok, that may be a joke, but I saw the CNN video quite differently: Obama is so brilliant with Web 2.0 (whatever that happens to mean to everyone else but him) that he is going to outsmart anyone else, with his message and obviously his technological know-how so very attractive to the young generations. Very political, very one-sided, and very pro-Obama piece ... Just my two cents. Jarek

I think it is both! He was arguably the first U.S. Senator or member to podcast and blog on iTunes before everyone else got on board, so I am not surprised about how well his social networking is doing. Think for a moment, his core constituents are young, tech savvy and highly educated individuals, not African Americans who just really got on board after Bob Johnson, The Clintons and other African American politicians made ill-advised statements that were full of code words which African Americans and more importantly his core constituents rejected.
