CfA: “A field in formation: What do we mean by ‘critical’ and ‘AI’ in Critical AI Studies?” [EASST2026]
Dear all, We would like to invite you to submit an abstract to our open panel “A field in formation: What do we mean by ‘critical’ and ‘AI’ in Critical AI Studies?” at the EASST2026 Conference (AGH University of Krakow, 08-11 September 2026). The growing ubiquity of AI in society is currently being met with the scholarly formation of Critical AI Studies. However, what is the “critical” and the “AI” of Critical AI Studies? This panel invites contributors to explore these questions empirically, theoretically, reflectively and artistically. Please find the detailed panel description here: https://easst.net/conference/easst2026/programme/#18148 In case of interest, we would love to receive your abstract. Please submit your abstract of max. 250 words here (https://easst.net/conference/easst2026/programme/#18148) by 09 March 2026. Decisions will be communicated as quickly as possible. Please feel free to get in touch with Dieuwertje Luitse (d.luitse@uva.nl <mailto:d.luitse@uva.nl> ) or Louis Ravn (l.ravn@uva.nl <mailto:l.ravn@uva.nl> ) should you have any questions about the panel.
