Having been a lurker in this list for most of the time (and profiting loads from the "warm fuzzy feeling" of community and sharing knowledge in here) I've finally got a question that some of you might be able to help me with: I want to make a kind of database which I'll be able to feed with copies of blogposts, e-mails and some IRC-chat protocols. Have you got any suggestions what to use? Using Open Office seems a rather tedious way to do it and Excel definitely doesn't do the job for me. Thanks very much for your help, Andrea -- http://zerzaust.blogspot.com
Hi Andrea, What exactly do you want to do with this database once you have established it. Do you intend to perform some qualitative analysis on it or is it just to act as a message store. If you are intending to do some analysis on it and are using an Apple Mac then I can highly recommend TAMSanalyzer which is freeware and obtainable from http://tamsys.sourceforge.net/osxtams/download.html Cheers, Andrew Wenn. -- email: andrewwenn@mac.com internet: http://homepage.mac.com/andrewwenn/ On 20/06/2005, at 4:26 AM, Andrea Handl wrote:
