Recommend mailing list software
Dear All, I am looking into setting up a mailing list. I note that AoIR uses Mailman (http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/index.html), which seems to do what I am looking for (simple but effective mailing list management). However, does anyone have any other recommendations and/or key criteria that I should be aware of? Thanks, Julian ++++++++++ Blog: www.julianhopkins.net Twitter: @julianhopkins Skype: julhop

Mailman is the right choice if you already own a web + mail server under UNIX (GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, MacOS X...). However, setting a mailing list server for just one list may be too much work. There are cloud-based alternatives like Google Groups or newsletter managers like Mail Chimp that provide a REST API, SNS integration, analytics, etc. Best regards, -- Pablo Garaizar Sagarminaga Universidad de Deusto Avda. de las Universidades 24 48007 Bilbao - Spain Phone: +34-94-4139000 Ext 2512 Fax: +34-94-4139101
Thanks . Is there yet another recommendation as I too need a suitable solution for this task. KR Babur On 8 June 2012 11:03, Pablo Garaizar Sagarminaga <garaizar@deusto.es> wrote:
