I know of two persons in Sweden: first a friend of mine: Mia Lövheim, who is a religion sociologist and a real good researcher. She's at Uppsala university and can be reached at mia.lovheim@teol.uu.se. Then I know of a guy Göran Larsson, who has published a book on religion online, but I don't know him personally and haven't read anything he has written. Anyway, he's at gothenburg university. take care and give Conni a big hug from me /Malin ps. in case you didn't know, Ylva got a daughter 3 of May. I'm still waiting for 13 days or so, feels like I'm finally seeing the light in the end of the tunnel... It's going to be so good to get rid of this big belly! For an excellent overview of religion online there is also Heidi's own recently published book, "Exploring Religious Community Online" (see http://www.peterlangusa.com/Index.cfm? vID=67105&vHR=1&vUR=2&vUUR=5&vLang=E). Sj On May 18, 2006, at 10:28 AM, Heidi Campbell wrote:

Here's a nice summary of (esp. early) literature on televangelism: http://hirr.hartsem.edu/ency/Televangelism.htm The term was coined by Jeff Hadden. Here's a list of his works, many of which will be of interest to you, and a number of which are offered in (reformatted) full text: http://religiousbroadcasting.lib.virginia.edu/pubs/ Asides: Hadden, who was on my Master's thesis committee, has been labelled a "cult apologist" for focusing his final 15 years (before passing in January 2003) charaterizing new religious movements (esp. Scientology and the Unification Church) without value-laden critique. Despite his employment of pscychological ideas in lectures (he often castigated me publicly for adhering to Pure Sociology), he was a steadfastly scientific, and deserves being remembered for that. And his earlier work, on church organization and mass media, is similarly remarkable. -eg
