With thanks and best wishes, Katherine Harrison *** Postdoc in Gender Studies with a focus on critical data studies and synthetic data "Operationalizing Ethics for AI” is an interdisciplinary project bringing together critical feminist and computer science perspectives. This postdoc project will engage an intersectional perspective on synthetic data for algorithm development with a theoretical base in feminist technoscience studies, critical studies of AI, HCI, design, and data science. It will critically interrogate synthetic data as an object (to be, for example, regulated and discussed by industry and policy) and as a process (of creating a representation of the world used for a range of technical goals).
