AoIR Conference 2008 Panel - eHealth and Web 2.0
eHealth and Web 2.0 Panel I would like to invite participation in a panel at the AoIR 2008 conference focused on 'eHealth and Web 2.0'. Participation, user-generated data, SNSs, Blogs and the whole range of ideals and resources that inform the Web 2.0 sensibility should provide a wealth of possibilities. This could include both theoretical and empirical material. In addition, you may want to argue that web 2.0 is not relevant to particular areas of eHealth. Those interested please send me a 250-500 word abstract - with the usual details. Michael.Hardey@hyms.ac.uk
We would like to invite participation in a AoIR 2008 panel focused on Social Network Sites in National Context. We are looking for a research that explores various aspects of Social Network Sites in context of a specific country or region, or participation of a specific nationality/cultural/linguistic group in a global social network sites (like Facebook). Those interested please send ASAP a 250-500 word abstract (or at least detailed description at this point) - with the usual details, to Ewa.Callahan@quinnipiac.edu. Best to all! Ewa
Just for reference: The conference is 'Internet Research:' the annual conference of the association of internet researchers. Brand does matter, we've already lost any claim to the journal 'internet research', let's try to stay 'on brand' more with the conference name. jeremy

Thanks, Jeremy - exactly right for exactly the right reasons. At the same time, in fairness to those who (like me, until helpfully corrected last fall) find it easier to use "AoIR 2008" rather than IR 9.0 - I must confess that despite being at the first AoIR / IR 1.0 conference and all of their successors, I'm just sorta now getting it... So reminders like this are helpful! see you in Copenhagen (and Aarhus!) - c.
