While we do not wish to disenfranchise anyone, we do ask that you be a woman actively/currently participating in SL. We value the experiences that every woman has in SL and welcome all topics and disciplines, but as we already have an interested publisher, it is required that these essays have an academic frame. We do NOT want to limit the ideas that you may generate, but to diversify the manuscript already in hand we are most interested in the following: • SL Economics and Business/Entrepreneurship • Artistic and Creative Expression via Building, Scripting, Animation • Performance/SL Live Music • Subculture Identities (Gorean, Furry, Neko, Sci-fi, Borg, Tinies, Roleplay, Child Avatars, etc) • Relationships/Defining Personal Boundaries (Intimacy/Privacy in Digital Environments) Deadline for submissions: 30 November 2010 Length: 5000-7500 words Please send submissions to zoe@msu.edu & steorling@sbcglobal.net For more info, contact editors Zoe McMillan (zoe@msu.edu) or Steorling Heron (steorling@sbcglobal.net) Email: zoe@msu.edu -- Lois Ann Scheidt Doctoral Candidate - School of Library and Information Science, Indiana University, Bloomington IN USA Webpage: http://www.loisscheidt.com CV: http://www.loisscheidt.com/cv.html Blog: http://www.professional-lurker.com
