ps It appears that only three of these five listed below are digital voice recorders, and all three use removable media. I am thus interested in comments on any of the three: DS-4000, DS-3300, DS-2200. Thanks again -- Mark. ----------- Olympic has changed its line of voice recorders since I last purchased any for a research project and I need to buy several new ones. (I prefer to use Olympic because we are familiar with their transcription software and foot pedals, etc.) Is anybody familiar with any of the models listed under professional dictation? http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_vr_transcribers.asp These would include the DR-1000 Executive, DR-2000 Executive, DS-4000, DS-3300, and DS-2200? These would be for in-person interviews. Probably overkill for what we need, but these are the models which appear to work with the AS-4000 transcription kits we will use, and we're not on a tight budget for this. I'm inclined to get the DS-2200, as it comes with removable media, but would feel more confident if I knew a researcher or interviewer who had actually used it. I realize this is an Association of Internet Researchers, so many people reading this are more concerned with issues of using online data rather than face-to-face interviews, but....
