The journal looks at the technological developments which facilitate the use of wide-area networks, and examines the social, ethical, economic and political implications which arise from mass public access to information resources. Coverage includes but is not limited to: • Electronic networks in research and education • Managerial and organizational issues • Network design and operation • Public and private sector roles and responsibility See the website for further details: http://www.emeraldinsight.com/intr.htm Qualifications and requirements of candidates: Some of the key qualities sought for the editor position are an established record of scholarship, ability to oversee the editorial cycle and meet deadlines, management of the Editorial Advisory Board and an understanding of INTR’s editorial and strategic objectives. Major Editor responsibilities include: • Commissioning high quality manuscripts and assisting authors through the editorial process • Initial screening of submissions and the management of the peer review process • Selecting and maintaining a pool of competent reviewers • Supplying journal issues to the Publisher to the agreed schedule • Working with and managing the contribution of the Editorial Advisory Board • Advising Emerald on the direction and development of INTR • Promoting INTR to your network and at conferences to encourage authorship and usage INTR uses the online submission system, ScholarOne Manuscripts. The new editor(s) will receive full training and support. Please note this is a supported position with an annual honorarium and travel/conference budget. The time commitment is variable but the role will require approximately ½ day work per week on average.
