I wanted to add my voice of sadness to Rob's passing. I knew him only in passing, having met him at the first aoir conference, where he greeted me with gracious friendliness. His major contributions to internet research including two editions of <i>Computerization and Controversy</i> and his seminal journal <i>The Information Society</i> will live on with all of us. --andrea baker
