Hi all, I'm talking with my class this week about blogs and blogging, and there's an event I want to mention, but I'd like to have a name to attach to it. I'm just asking here on the longshot possibility that someone might remember. The situation was that many news outlets were covering the recovery efforts, and Bush did a speech from someplace in New Orleans. All the lights in the neighborhood were on, and part of the point was how well the recovery was going in some places. When Bush and company left, all the lights went out. Turned out they really weren't on all the time; it was a setup just for the speech. The reporters on the scene apparently didn't know this until after Bush left. One reporter was so upset by the situation that he blogged about it later, I think on his personal blog. I believe he worked for a major news outlet. I don't remember whether or not he got fired for the blogging. Does anyone happen to recall who that was? Tery
