I'm teaching a course on semiotics and visual communication in an intensive wintersession course this January. In that course we deal with the semiotics of different media (film v. TV, for example, using John Ellis' work). Any suggestions for a decent chapter-length piece to assign for reading that deals with the semiotics of the computer or webpages or...? This is an undergraduate class. Off list replies are fine. Thanks for your time. Greg J.
