Re: [Air-l] Reference on impact of resources going online
Thanks. Keep me updated on what you're doing. This is for a course, although I've had a general interest and concern about this for a while. Don't know if I'll have anything unique for a 2007 session, but I'd love to attend it. And, I am really looking forward to the Vancouver AoIR. I have family there and in Duncan and a trip to Vancouver means a dash over to the island as well. /C ---- Original message ----

Caroline,
I am doing a research study on this question at present, and although we don't have a lot of data back (yet), I'd be happy to share what we have and what we have collected in terms of references. I have a web site set up with preliminary information and if it looks like what you are interested in, I'll send you more details.

Warm regards from Vancouver (site of AIR 2007). Perhaps we should have a panel/session on this for the 2007 conference.

I'm looking for papers and/or discussion of the impact of governments putting information online, and who can then access that information. Can anyone help with reference(s) or author(s) on this topic? It may be with other discussions of the digital divide, or with e-government. I'd like something with data on who is and is not able to get this kind of informaton if possible, but also any discussion of the issue.
Thanks.
/Caroline
