Webinar - “Advocating with Evidence: Lessons for Tech Researchers in Civil Society.” November 13 at 10AM Eastern.
Hi everyone, This might be relevant to those interested in working in civil society including grad students and early career scholars. I would like to share an upcoming virtual event organized by CDT, Data & Society and ACLU that I think would be of interest to many in this group who work at the intersection of tech, research, and policy. On *November 13, at 10:00 AM Eastern*, we will host a *virtual expert panel:* /“Advocating with Evidence: Lessons for Tech Researchers in Civil Society.” <https://cdt.org/event/advocating-with-evidence-lessons-for-tech-researchers-in-civil-society/>/ We explore the unique challenges for researchers in civil society working on tech policy issues and how to address them. Most discussions about the process of research focuses on the experiences of those in academia or industry. We hope that this webinar can help to widen that discussion and include the important role of researchers in civil society. The panel will also discuss challenges in conducting and communicating research for policy and advocacy impact and features Alice Marwick, Marissa Gerchick, Jordan Kraemer, and myself.
