Call for Research Contributions Nordic DiGRA 2023 The Nordic DiGRA Conference returns in spring 2023, this time in Uppsala, Sweden. This will be a fully in-person two-day event on 27-28 April 2023. Nordic DiGRA (Digital Games Research Association) invites research contributions in the form of extended abstracts. We accept deviations from the format as well as creative interpretations (such as panels, workshops, demos, etcetera). We invite contributions from within and across any discipline committed to advancing knowledge on games. The conference theme this year, Interdisciplinary embraces, speaks to the multidisciplinary nature of the field of games research. We ask for extended abstracts in a first round, with all accepted speakers invited to submit full papers for a special issue in the Transactions of the Digital Games Research Association (ToDiGRA) journal. Important dates Research contribution submission deadline: 18 November 2022 Presenter acceptance notification: 1 February 2023 Conference: 27-28 April 2023 Journal full paper deadline: 30 May Theme The theme this year is Interdisciplinary Embraces. This theme aims to celebrate the multidisciplinary belongings of researchers interested in games and the fact that our subject thrives in the cross section of different academic fields. Additionally it is a nod to the end of the necessary physical separation during the pandemic. We ask that submissions relate to the conference theme by being clear on disciplinary belongings, positions, and transgressions, all to encourage the interdisciplinary embraces of the research presented. Submissions Nordic DiGRA invites authors to submit papers reporting new and original research. In a first round extended abstracts need to be anonymized and submitted in the DIGRA template<https://www.im.uu.se/digitalAssets/1027/c_1027148-l_1-k_nordic-digra-23-template.docx> to the paper track. Suggested length is 3 pages + references, we do accept deviations from the format (for example panels, workshops and demos). All contributions should be submitted through EasyChair<https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=nodigra2023>. Reviewers will judge the quality of the submission as well as the fit to the conference theme. Accepted extended abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper for a special conference issue in the Transactions of the Digital Games Research Association international, peer-reviewed journal (ToDiGRA<http://todigra.org/index.php/todigra/about>, ISSN: 2328-9422). This is done to accommodate the variety of publishing strategies of various disciplinary belongings of game research scholars. Full papers will go through an additional round of peer-review.
