This workshop will offer practical advice and compelling examples of how to communicate value add, impact, and outcomes in order to gain support, funding, and visibility. Seasoned experts in media and philanthropy will describe common pitfalls in pitching to the media and funders, and how to avoid them. These include moving beyond a transactional to a relational framework, tailoring messages to align with issues that matter to funders and the media, and supporting youth to be effective storytellers. Connected Wellbeing Impact Studio teams will share their experiences and learnings from the front lines — including challenges and successes in connecting with varied audiences, supporters, and stakeholders, and staying authentic to their vision and voice.
