Three posts: Chair, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer Information School, University of Sheffield, UK The Information School at the University of Sheffield is recognised nationally and internationally for its world-class research, excellence in teaching, and the achievements of its graduates. It is the leader in its field in the UK, consistently ranked number one in every national Research Assessment Exercise and achieving top-ranking positions for research environment and research impact in the Research Excellence Framework 2014. It is a member of the international iSchools organisation, a group of leading cognate schools established to promote the role of the information field in shaping the future of the global information society. The School is currently investing in three strategic appointments in the following areas: • *Social Media *(we especially welcome applicants with expertise in: use of social media by organisations, communities and individuals; use of social media in strategic decisionmaking; research methods for capturing, analysing and utilising social media data; digital security; information policy and information governance); • *Data/Information Management* (we especially welcome applicants with expertise in: information architecture and knowledge organisation; data visualisation/communication; user behaviours; enterprise information management; and enterprise systems management; and the organisational and decision making context of data science/information management); • *Management and Strategy in Information Services* (we especially welcome applicants with expertise in: strategic planning; change management; knowledge management; supplier relationship management; customer relationship management and service quality management; and the management and use of information within organisational contexts). *Chair* You will have an outstanding track-record of research including an international reputation, publications in highly ranked international journals, substantial success in grant capture, proven skills in academic leadership and management, including team building, and a commitment to interdisciplinary and collaborative research. You will hold a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant field and will be able to recognise and build on the current research strengths of the School and have the ability to further enhance the next phase of the School’s research and impact profile in your chosen area. You will be expected to fully contribute to research, teaching and administration within the School. *Lecturer, Senior Lecturer* You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant field, a well-established or developing research profile, proven teaching ability, a strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, and will make a key contribution to advancing the School’s competitive position.
