[AoIR HQ] A few notes before AoIR2026!
Hi AoIR Community, Before you get ready to fly out, we wanted to share a few practical notes before you get to Mexico City. * For Speakers: Every room has a screen and a laptop, and the hotel provides wifi. Technicians will be on site every day to set up. Even so, please bring a copy of your presentation on a USB drive. It’s quick and pretty much foolproof. * Presenting straight from an online source is fine too, as long as you can log in and find your file quickly. You're also welcome to plug in your own laptop, but this slows things down a lot on panels, especially when someone needs a different adapter, and the techs won't necessarily be in every room for every change of speaker. * For All Participants: The full schedule is now live on Sched at aoir26.sched.com<http://aoir26.sched.com.> * If you'd rather use the app, download Sched and search for AoIR2026 "Regenerations." Once you're in, you can build your own schedule and filter sessions by date or type (fishbowls, paper sessions, etc.) and then by topic, so if you only want paper sessions on Platform Governance and Moderation, you can pull up just those. If you're presenting, please do log in early and update your speaker profile so other attendees can find you. Sched also has maps of the conference space and the hotel. * And! New this year, we're doing a tote bag exchange at the registration desk! Bring a tote bag or two to exchange or share. The rules are simple: give a bag, take a bag. Safe travels, and see you soon in Mexico City If you have any questions before then, let me know! Best, Emerson (she/her) AoIR Communications and Membership Coordinator ac@aoir.org<mailto:ac@aoir.org> Looking for Michelle? After nine years, Michelle has officially stepped down from her position at AOIR. I'm Emerson, and I'll be stepping in to continue her work. As I'm sure anyone familiar with Michelle knows, I have big shoes to fill, and I appreciate your patience as I get up to speed!
