*Data for Policy 2025 (DfP’25) - Europe* *Twin transitions in data and policy for a sustainable and inclusive future* 12-13 June, 2025 , Leiden University, The Hague, The Netherlands Call for Abstracts, Full Papers and Panel Proposals Submission Deadline: *21 February 2025* https://dataforpolicy.org/data-for-policy-2025-europe/ Data for Policy CIC, in collaboration with Leiden University and Cambridge University Press, is delighted to invite submissions of extended abstracts, full papers, and panel proposals for the Data for Policy 2025 (DfP’25) – Europe Edition. The conference will take place in The Hague, The Netherlands, on 12–13 June 2025. The theme for this edition is “*Twin Transitions in Data and Policy for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future*”, which will explore the pivotal role of data in addressing the intersection of digital and green transitions. With an emphasis on interdisciplinary dialogue and cross-sector collaboration, we encourage submissions that investigate how emerging technologies and data-driven strategies can support both digital transformation and environmental sustainability in a rapidly changing global landscape. *Conference Tracks:* We invite submissions across the following six standard focus areas: - Digital & Data-driven Transformations in Governance - Technologies & Analytics - Policy & Literacy for Data - Ethics, Equity, and Trustworthiness - Algorithmic Governance - Global Challenges and Dynamic Threats In addition to the standard tracks, we are offering four complementary special tracks: - Private Sector Data for Public Interest in the EU – Government-Business Data Relations - Bridging the Gap: The Role of Data Intermediaries in the Creation of Urban Digital Twins - Security and Justice Policy in the Age of Algorithms and AI - Data Law & Governance for the Digital and Green Transitions *Submission Formats:* We welcome submissions in the following formats: - Individual Extended Abstracts: (Max. of 1000 words) These should present preliminary research, innovative ideas, or emerging perspectives related to the conference theme or other relevant areas of interest. - Full Papers: (6000 words) We invite comprehensive, well-researched papers or case studies. Full papers will undergo an integrated review process, with the potential for publication in the Data & Policy journal following the conference. - Panel Proposals: Panel proposals should offer in-depth discussions on key issues within the digital and green transitions. Proposals should aim to provide actionable insights and foster dialogue that reflects both regional and global contexts. This initiative provides a platform for rigorous scholarly work at the intersection of data science and public policy, supported by an integrated peer-review process linking conference presentations to publication opportunities.
