Dear Colleagues, Please share this Call for essays for an issue of *American Behavioral Scientist* entitled 'Survey of a Cluster of Pre-Internet Networks'. Essays invited for a survey of 1960s -1970s military networks such as: *COINTELPRO *(US); *CHAOS* (US); *Phoenix* (Vietnam); *Condor* (South America); *ORDEN* (El Salvador); *Jakarta* (Indonesia); *OBAN* (Brazil) and other operations that networked societies prior to the Internet. These networks will be described in one source, offering an historical-comparative resource for media scholars, media users and social scientists. Authors are encouraged to share their findings with each other in a collaborative manner. Comparing these small historical networks to today's globally and fully networked society will improve social science and historical comparative research.
