Postdoctoral Positions in Technology and Security Peace Studies Program, Cornell University
The Peace Studies Program invites applications for two postdoctoral positions for academic year 2003-2004, one for a person trained in the physical or biological sciences and the other for a social scientist. The successful applicants will be expected to participate in program seminars and other activities and to pursue research related to science, technology, and international security, preferably within one of the three major areas of interest to the program: 1) dual-use technology and weapons proliferation; 2) the impact of new technologies and strategies, including those associated with the war on terrorism, on international humanitarian law and the norms of warfare; and 3) North Asian security and technology. Salary $33,600, plus benefits and a modest research budget. All requirements of the PhD must be completed by the time of appointment.
