etnography on virtual community of researchers
Hello there, I'm designing a survey and an etnography research on how historians of Roman Law are getting into digital networks and how they might benefit of this infrastructural improvement based mainly on Genex Framework for their daily practices. Does anyone know about past researches, or is any of you working on similar subjects of communities turning from CD ROMs or paper to digital networks such as VLEs or Digital libraries. Thanks for reading. Federico Monaco PhD Department of Social, Historical & Political Studies University of Parma Borgo Carissimi, 10 43100 Parma Italy
You might want to look at a recent project we did looking at various aspects of digitized historical resources and how they are being used: http://microsites.oii.ox.ac.uk/tidsr/ The report for the project is on the website, as well as a lot of information about the methods we used to assess impact of these resources. The survey we used is on the site as well (http://microsites.oii.ox.ac.uk/tidsr/kb/27/tidsr-survey-use-digitised-resou rces) and may give you some ideas of things to include in your survey. -Eric Eric T.
