The project concerns the use of hackathons as a method for co-designing civic technologies to address local issues in a Dundee neighbourhood. The researcher will be responsible for co-organising a series of hackathon workshops bringing together community members and local makers. Based on the outputs of these hackathons, the researcher will develop a number of refined prototypes that will be deployed and evaluated in the community. The researcher will be based in DJCAD's new Research Studio and will be expected to play a role in developing the studio community. This will be a full time, fixed-term post for 12 months from 1 March 2016. The closing date is 20 November 2015.
