Hi, all, I posted this on another listserv last week. So my apologies to those who have seen it already. I'm wondering if anyone knows of recent critical work looking at the Quantified Self movement as a whole. I know Deborah Lupton has been writing in the area, and there was a piece in New Media and Society last year (by Bossewitch and Sinnreich). There have been a number of articles in the popular press, and on blogs. Just want to see if it's being addressed, especially from a cultural studies perspective, elsewhere. Cheers, Greg Dr. J. Hi Greg, Gina Neff and Brittant Fiore-Silfvast are both doing work on this. They did a pretty fantastic presentation together at #TtW13: http://thesocietypages.org/cyborgology/2013/02/26/ttw13-preview-gina-neff-an..., and all of those presentations were also livestreamed and archived. Lots of discussion on this at 4S this year by Gillian Hayes and others -- check the schedule of papers, particularly the (numerous) sessions on algorithmic living, medicine, and big data. http://4sonline.org/files/print_program_final_.pdf DLB
