Re: [Air-L] Any recommendations?
Hi Katie, I just completed an undergrad assignment on YouTube. In addition to Alice Marwick, you might want to check out the works of Jean Burgess, uni. Canberra who did her PhD on a related topic. See http://creativitymachine.net and http://creativitymachine.net/category/youtube/. Also, be sure to check out what Michael Wesch, assistant prof. at Kansas State University, does with his classes and YouTube: http://mediatedcultures.net/youtube.htm and http://mediatedcultures.net/ksudigg/. I'll be interested to hear more about the research on your side, does someone know of an existing working group around YouTube and new media? Hi everyone,
I've been a member of the list for quite a year or so now, but this is my first posting. So hello!
I am a graduate student at the University of Wollongong in Australia and am helping my advisor with some research. I was wondering if anyone might have any recommendations on scholarly articles relating to Youtube that you've come across, and also if you have any particular books that have been released recently that deal with research online and in new media settings. Any suggestions you might have would be extremely appreciated!
Thanks to you all, and nice to meet you!
Sincerely,
Katie Freund.
